  • Condition: Excellent antique pre-owned condition. 5 well matched highly reflective lustrous pearls in polished, etched and burnished textured yellow gold classic Mikimoto design. Fully hallmarked with the "M" in a clam shell and K14 for 14K purity. The natural Akoya pearls are high quality with a very slight rosy hue. This aged piece has a small amount of stubborn tarnish on the back.

    5 Highly Reflective Well-Matched Akoya Pearls
    Up for your consideration is this stunning antique Mikimoto Akoya pearl brooch. Crafted of solid 14K gold this brooch is a gorgeous example of classic Mikimoto elegance. From my Mikimoto collection, it features 5 highly reflective, well-matched exceptional pearls, with a very slight pinkish hue, ranging in size from approximately 5 mm to 6.5 mm. The carved golden leaf is intricately embellished giving it a wonderful texture. This is a typical example of classic Mikimoto designs. The name synonymous with the finest quality Akoya pearls, Mikimoto signs this brooch with the M in a clam shell and it's marked K14 to denote purity (14K). The Mikimoto hallmark is a little difficult to see but is visible in 2 of the photos. It is to the left of "K14" and on another lobe of the leaf.
    This antique vintage brooch measures approximately 30 mm by 26 mm and the total weight is a respectable 6.9 Grams.
