1867 SHIELD NICKEL NO RAYS FULL DETAILS MULTIPLE DIE CRACKS BREAKS BOTH SIDES

Description

This is a 1867 Shield Nickel no rays variety. It has many die breaks on both sides and the die was surely at the end of it's life. The obverse has full rim, date, shield lines and wreath details and there are die breaks at 2,3 4 & 5 o'clock from the rim to wreath and arrow tip and break from left arrow tip to rim and wreath and wreath to rim at 9 o'clock and at 10 o'clock and from N to O of IN GOD. There is a area by the date that shows surface marks from a old wiping and the reverse has all stars split and a die break under CENTS, a larger break at the rim of U at 9 o'clock and goes to the 1st S of states and same light gray tone from a old wiping. It came from a old type set and it is a super interesting nickel offered at NO RESERVE!
