1880 Sayer & Fisher Antique Clay Brick with Stamped initials fir Makers Marks NJ.These bricks for salvage title of a home in Newport Rhode Island that was built around 1858 1860. Two chimneys were torn out and they were put together with the old white line mortar. During the salvage these two books were found. What makes them unique is that the makers mark is stamped in as you’ll see. The S in the Ambersand and yeah stand for Sarah Fisher which is safer company that was in New Jersey. Recalled that after the great fires in New York Philadelphia and Boston, building codes switched that buildings in inner city should be made out of brick.
