    Description

You are bidding on a PCGS MS62 1882 shield nickel. This coin was previously graded MS63 by NGC. Look carefully at the photographs as the coin shown is the coin you will receive.
The shield nickel was the first nickel 5 cent piece, and was minted from 1866 through 1883. These coins were difficult for the mint to strike due to the hardness of the nickel alloy, frequently resulting in die cracks visible on the coin, and with many varieties in dates. It is hard to find a shield nickel in high grade like this specimen. This coin belongs in your collection!
    Good luck bidding.
