4 Polished Sand Dollar Fossils
Description and Item Information
Up for sale is this grouping of four fossilized sand dollars. Please excuse any glare in the photos. These sand dollar fossils each have one polished side, the domed side. The bottoms are unpolished, with grinding marks. The total weight of these four pieces is 596.6 grams, or 1 pound 5.1 ounces. Individually, they weigh 200.0 grams (approximately 3 1/2 inches across), 164.0 grams (approximately 3 1/4 inches across), 118.5 grams (approximately 2 3/4 inches across), and 114.1 grams (approximately 2 3/4 inches across). These would be a great addition to a collection of fossils.
Identification
These items are from the northern California estate of a rock, mineral, and fossil collector. The age, species, and original collecting location are not known.
Condition
These look very good overall, as shown. The largest one has an edge chip beneath, as shown in Photo 2 (upper right). There are other small imperfections, as found. Grinding marks beneath are as made. Please review the description and photos, and ask any necessary questions prior to bidding or buying.
Terms of Sale
1. Payments
Taxes may be applicable. The correct shipping address must be included with payment. Contact the seller before bidding or buying to find out about acceptable payment methods for local pickups or deliveries. Payments must be received within three days of the end of the listing, unless prior arrangements have been made.
2. Shipping
Good packaging is included; double-boxing is not necessarily included. Framed art will not be shipped unframed. The seller usually ships on Mondays and Thursdays. The merchandise will normally be shipped on the seller's next shipping day after payment clears. The seller is not responsible for the transit time once the merchandise has been accepted by the shipping carrier.
Shipping includes delivery to a physical address via a method of the seller's choice. If the buyer prefers a different shipping method other than that chosen by the seller, or if delivery is to a post office box, additional shipping costs may be required. At the seller's discretion, a signature may be required for delivery.
Shipping quotes must be requested prior to all international bidding or buying. For international shipping, there may be parcel size restrictions or prohibitions on certain classes of merchandise. Customs forms will not be falsified.
