    Description

This c1890 Victorian/Aesthetic era ball and stick interior fretwork piece or spandrel, was salvaged from an 1890s farm house in Eau Claire, WI.  It measures
    65"w x 12"h x 1/2"thick, outside stringers are 14"h
.  It is constructed mainly of oak with the frame being quartersawn.  All of the balls also appear to be oak, but am thinking that the spindles/sticks are another species of wood.  It is in mint condition which is rare for such a delicate piece.  The simplicity of it is rare.  It is, as far as I am concerned, a wonderful example of Victorian architecture and good to go for another 100 years or more!
