    Description

    DETAILS
Bennett is best known for his work with Daniel Burnham on the 1909 Plan of Chicago. This Indiana limestone neoclassical obelisk was from that project and was salvaged during a recent construction project from the Michigan Avenue Bridge that spans the Chicago River along Wacker Drive downtown. A similar obelisk is shown in the last photo. The bronze lights on this obelisk were recently cast from the originals.
