Antique Architectural Fire Salvaged 3ft Carved Wood Flying Angel, Cherub.
Incredible architectural survivor, this large 3 ft carved wood Angel was salvaged from the infamous Mount Angel Antique Store Fire near Portland Oregon. 36 inches by 26” by 16” with original hooks on back, this Angel once hung from the rafters of a historic building in the Mount Angel section of Portland that housed an antique store. Sadly a fire ravaged the building and left my friend Icarus flying too close to the sun. He is solid with a sealer to protect his burnt patina. The scorching flames gave him an ethereal presence. Age cracks, burn marks, missing finger, toes and wingtips, he’s here, hangs wonderfully as a true architectural survivor.
