Here is a set of fabulous original 1920s/30s metal tuxedo porcelain finished Art Deco theater mouldings believed to have went around the ticket concession's stand. The mouldings are a thick gauge steel finished in beautiful high gloss tuxedo black and white porcelain fluting. The pieces have imperfections as you would expect from thier age. There are a couple of bigger chipped off porcelain areas that someone had touched up (pictured) and was rather novice, but at least they tried to preserve these extremely rare mouldings. There are scratches/knicks, some slight bending inareas of the metal and spots where the porcelain chipped off. I tried to capture as many areas as possible to give a good idea what the condition is. Overall they are gorgeous and perfect for an authentic Art Deco themed project. Sky is the limit as to how you can use them. The sides measure- 5' feet tall x 5 1/8" inches wide x 1" deep sides to wrap around existing wood if needed. Toward the top of the sides they are notched most likely to overlap another piece.
The top portion measures 46" inches wide x 6" inches tall with only one side having a L-style lip measuring 1/2" deep.
These are original very early century Art Deco metal surround mouldings, approximately 100 plus years old, even with thier imperfections they are just fabulous and sure to make a wonderful custom Art Deco project come to life!
The mouldings have 100 plus years of aging, and plenty of finish imperfections but that's the beauty of these fabulous pieces and the fact they still exist is phenomenal.
