    DESCRIPTION:  Antique carved wood tasseled Italian gessoed and polychrome painted wall shelf/bracket.
    A beautifully carved shelf with unusual carved tassel decoration in colors of red, green and gold.
    The wood is carved first  then gessoed (composed of glue and chalk) and then polychrome painted to appear life like.
    Dating to the 19th century. Weighing about 2lbs.10ozs.
    CONDITION:  In very good condition. One tassel glued, minor paint gesso chipping.
    MEASUREMENTS:   9.25" tall, 14.75" wide and 7" deep.
