    Description

    An antique architectural
    ornamental
rosette from one of New York City's demolished  buildings.
    It is  12"  in diameter.
    A light weight piece
of hand hammered repousse copper  verdigris.
Salvaged long ago in NYC - I have owned this since the 60s
It is from a huge collection of items from my father's shop in Brooklyn which closed several decades ago. "Old Brassware" was located on Coney Island Ave near Dorchester Rd. in Flatbush and my father bought large amounts of architectural metal that adorned old NYC buildings as they were torn down or renovated from the 40s throughout the 1960s and 70s.
Much of it came from public buildings.
I have no idea where this particular copper ornament came from.
