Antique English Phone Booth (cast iron)

Description

Original unrestored English Phone Booth that has been in barn storage for many years.  Cast iron with Mahogany door.   Has original door closer and Telephone glass panels in the top, also original overhead light. This booth also has some of the phone mounting boards and chart from last time used in UK. At some point while still in service, glass panels were replaced with plastic which have yellowed over time.  A couple of the plastic panels are missing but will include enough plastic panels to replace (some restorations choose to replace all of the old plastic panels with new glass)  We have available sets of sand cast aluminum  frames for the inside of the door at an extra cost.  (These window castings dress up the inside of the door if glass is used to replace the plastic panels.)  This booth is in very nice condition and a great candidate for restoration if desired.
Kings crown cast in all four sides commemorating the Silver Jubilee of the coronation of King George V in 1935.  These booths were made in England starting in the 1930s.
Dimensions are 32" square and 100" tall.
Local pick up only
in Anderson/Roans Prairie TX  77830.  The booth weighs 1,600 lbs. and seller has ability to load on a trailer supplied by buyer.....or buyer can arrange 3rd party pick up / transport service.  These booths are difficult to find and extremely costly to import now.  This booth in great shape with no broken castings.
