Antique fireplace mantel

Description

Outstanding antique fireplace mantel.  Overall size with top shelf is approx 79" wide x 52" H. Inside fireplace opening approx. 44"W x 40 3/4"H.  Body of the mantel without the top shelf is
approx 74 1/4"W x 50"H.  I purchased from designer Hilda Flack in Palm Beach approx 10 years ago.  She told me she had taken it out of a home in Atlanta and it was approx 200 years old.  This is not a confirmed age, just the age given to me by the designer.  I was always going to build a fireplace to use this mantel.  On the side you can see that it must have been cut out for chair rail molding.  That photo didn't come out well enough to list, will be adding that photo shortly.  I had a local antiques dealer think it might be cloisonné and recommended it be sold on a global stage.   Quite an outstanding piece. Too large to ship so local pick up only or I am happy to work with your shipper.  :)
