    Description

    Gould’s 24 Inch Cast Iron Bell. This huge 24" iron bell was made by the The Gould's Mfg. Co. in Seneca Falls, NY. The Downs & Co. was changed to Gould's Mfg. Co. in 1864. I believe Goulds made most of these size bells during the 1870's and 80's. They made bells for churches, schools, factories, and engine houses. Some bells were as large as 28 inches.
    It has a small hairline crack about 5 inches long (see pic) This doesn’t affect the sound. Rings beautifully
