Up for sale is this beautiful, I believe late 19th C antique Italian carved and gilded wooden wall shelf sconce with fantastic detail of a large cherub angel putti face in front and surrounded by leafy foliage scrolls.
The piece has great detail throughout and is hand painted with fine colors. A wonderful piece of architectural salvage art and ready to be hung and displayed.
Deeply carved relief and in good overall condition with minor edge and surface / paint wear consistent with age and use. No major issues.
Measures 14” inches long, 10” inches wide, and 7”inches tall (35.6 cm, 25.4 cm, 17.8 cm).
Would make a fantastic decorative piece to use and display, fine addition to a collection, or a great antique gift!
