ARKANSAS DELTA SALVAGE-Two 5 1/2"x5 1/2" Wooden Rosette Bullseyes-1860-1890
Offered is a selection of two vintage wooden Bullseye Rosette door and window ornaments, measuring 5 1/2" by 5 1/2", and 1 1/8" thick. These were purchased at a recent estate auction in the Arkansas Delta, and were most likely salvaged in the 1970s or 1980s when a lot of the grand old houses in that region were being dismantled, could possibly date from the 1860s to 1890s. I'm seeing several coats of chippy paint, this pair looks like white on olive on light yellow. As with all architectural salvage items, this one has blemishes consisting of numerous nails, nail holes, some staples still in place.
