Description
This is a hand crafted and hand painted original antique large round ceiling medallion. It was salvaged from an historic plantation home built in 1803 located on 300 acres purchased in 1750 located in Loudoun County Virginia. The piece features an ornate rose floral design detailed in gold tones. It was hand-paintedto further enhance the detail.
There is very little damage. Along one side of the outside edge, the plaster has broken off. Please see last photo.
Total length diameter is 26". Center Hold Diameter is 3". Height is approx. 3".
Among the most dramatic of decorative and ornamental plaster forms is the ceiling medallion. A single ceiling medallion is the most effective detail that can be added to a ceiling to completely transform the space.
It can be hung above a chandelier, on a wall as an art installation, or lying flat as a centerpiece decoration.
This is made of solid plaster and due the weight and fragility of this piece, I do not want to risk any damage in the shipping process. Therefore, the medallion can only be picked up.
