    Description

    18th Century or older Hand forged heavy chain. Each link was made from two pieces, bent into U shape and then forged together link by link. Links are 4 3/4 inches long x 2 1/2 inches wide and roughly 9/16 inches thick. I have been dealing with antiques for 60 years and I have never seen a chain like this.The amount of work that went into making this very old chain is truly impressive. Not a reproduction. Very pitted and rusty but structurally sound. There are 13 links.
