LaVERNE BAKER SIGNED VINTAGE SHEET MUSIC

Offered here is a sheet music signature of one of R & B’s  great early female recording artist’s, LaVerne Baker.  The signature is unusual in that appears to be done with a pen that a calligrapher might use.  It is bold and, to my eye, beautiful.  I haven’t seen another Baker signature that looks like this one, and believe it to be rare.
I am selling my collection of autographs that I have purchased several years ago from an array of sources – from eBay sellers, from dealers with professional credentials, and from the signers themselves via the mail.  Some came with COA’s; most did not.  When I obtained these signatures, I believed them to be genuine and I believed that they were genuine when I posted them on Ebay.
I have received opinions from others, including PSA/DNA whose opinion I sought, indicating that some of the signatures that I have posted were not likely to be genuine.  I have pulled those questionable signatures, and will not post them for sale again in the future.  It is not my intention to sell autographs that are not authentic, and I will continue do my best to try to ensure that the signatures that I am offering are genuine.  As indicated below, all signatures that I sell come with a money-back guarantee if they are judged to be of doubtful authenticity.

Baker
was one of the sexiest divas gracing the mid-'50s rock & roll circuit, boasting a brashly seductive vocal delivery tailor-made for belting the catchy novelties "Tweedlee Dee," "Bop-Ting-a-Ling," and "Tra La La" for Atlantic Records during rock's first wave of prominence.
Born Delores Williams, she was singing at the Club DeLisa on Chicago's south side at age 17, decked out in raggedy attire and billed as "Little Miss Sharecropper" (the same handle that she made her recording debut under for RCA Victor with Eddie "Sugarman" Penigar's band in 1949). She changed her name briefly to Bea Baker
when recording for OKeh in 1951 with Maurice King’s Wolverines, then settled on the first name of LaVern when she joined Todd Rhodes’ band as featured vocalist in 1952 (she fronted Rhodes’ aggregation on the impassioned ballad "Trying" for Cincinnati's King Records).
LaVern signed with Atlantic as a solo in 1953, debuting with the incendiary "Soul on Fire." The coy, Latin-tempo "Tweedlee Dee" was a smash in 1955 on both the R&B and pop charts, although her impact on the latter was blunted when squeaky-clean Geogia Gibbs
covered it for Mercury. An infuriated Baker
filed suit over the whitewashing, but she lost.
Baker cut “Humpty Dumpty Heart” on Atlantic in 1957.
It was not one of her popular numbers.
It reached number 71 on the Top 100 that year, and remained on the charts for seven short weeks.
It did not chart on the R&B charts.
