Description

Old plaster decorative decor
These are such a great old pieces Salvaged out of an old famous restaurant in downtown Los Angeles. The entire restaurant was done an old Gothic Revival Decor. These amazing plaques were built into the walls above the bar area along with other amazing reliefs . I wasn’t able to find any history of what they were molded after but I do know that they are old. The current owner of the restaurant purchased it over 35 years ago and stated that these pieces were there long before he came . They were beautifully done and made to look like old carved wood sculptures. Great detail and work went into making these pieces. Upon removal we noticed that there is age to the back of the plaster . They are very fragile yet durable at the same time. They came out in overall good condition with a few small chips and nicks but nothing too major. There were four originally Salvaged which consist of two sets of two. This auction is for two of the plaques with four available for purchase. We tried to include all of the detail in the photos as far as damage. The place they were salvaged from was absolutely amazing and great things came out. They were beautiful custom-made rondelle windows and the most amazing team caps of carved Kingsman‘s faces . The actually consider this style revival renaissance.
