( ONLY DON’T SPIT ON SIDEWALK CLINKER I HAVE EVER SEEN )
Clinker bricks were fired at higher temps. So typically they are stronger. Don’t mind the indention in the word sidewalk….it is not a chip…look close you will see it is a splatter of clay that part of it carried on above it, that is the beauty of it & part of being a clinker. They were bricks that were discarded because they were discolored or distorted.
In the 1920’s The Arts & Crafts Design Movement rediscovered clinker bricks & all their possibilities for creative & dramatic architectural detailing.
This vintage brick would look good in any collection and or any project
