    Description

    This is an estate piece, a Vintage Solid 14K Yellow Gold Pearl Brooch / Pendant (there is a retractable loop on the back so it can be worn as pendant on a necklace.)  I recently acquired this at a local estate auction.  I believe it dates from the 1950's or 60's, maybe earlier.  It is clearly marked 14K on the back.  The piece is done in plain yellow gold with a bright polished finish.  It has a sort of open swirl design that holds 7 prong set lustrous White Cultured Pearls.  The large center pearl measures 4mm in diameter and the circle of 6 pearls each measure 3mm in diameter.  The pin, pin guard and retractable loop appear to be the original and are in good working condition.  The piece measures 1 1/4 inches in diameter weighs 8.5 grams on my digital postal scale. Chain is not included.
