* This is the Real Deal, really cool to read. Makes you miss the good ole days.
** David Lee Roth paid close attention to detail. He had different specific requests before each show. This rider doesn’t mention brown M&M’s, just plain ones… but other times in his contract rider, he specifically requested 3 lbs of M&M’s before the show, but NO Brown ones. The reason being… if the brown M&M’s weren’t removed, it meant that the crew reading the Contract Rider was NOT paying attention to the details. If a brown M&M was found, he would have the crew check every detail listed within the contract rider to make sure everything was done the correct way. How cool is that! He was NOT being a prick, he was meticulous with how he wanted things done, which is how he made it to the top.
