Beautiful authentic antique bank window. Very heavy piece made of wood and either brass or bronze.
In great vintage condition. The metal shows wear consistent with age, and exhibits some small spots of oxidization along the door and some of the bars.
Precise age or location of salvage unknown. Looks to have been recently restored, so unsure whether all wood is all original or if some has been replaced. Frame and pillars are believed to be original.
With the entire frame, it measures
45 1/4” in length, 37 1/2” in height, and 4 1/4” in depth.
The window grate does lock shut, but
we are missing the key for it.
Door is a squeeze lock to pull the locks in and out. The left knob is a little sticky at times.
Support columns have light damage on both sides in the same spot as shown.
This is believed to have been caused from the window installation when it was in use.
