*Antique French Highly Carved Panel in Oak Wood Salvage Headboard

Description of item for sale:
This intricately carved panel is from France and it dates to the early 1800's.  We do not know the original use of this piece.  The frame of the piece is newer wood and the center panels are much older.  The panel is made from solid oak and all hand carved.  Overall this panel in very good antique condition with the minor nicks, chips and scratches always found in old pieces like this.  Note that there is wood worm damage throughout the older panels.
