  • Condition: This church railing and altar is from France and it dates to the early/mid 1900's. The top surface of the altar is a veneered panel, but the rest is solid oak construction. Both pieces have been finished to a warm medium color. Note that the panels on the sides of the altar are not symmetrical (see photos). We believe that the panels once were part of something else and re-used for this altar and rail. Overall they are in good condition with only minor nicks and scratches consistent with their age. Dimensions: the altar is 45" long, 38.5" high and 15.75" deep. The rail is 43.5" long (at the base), 35.25" high and 10" deep (at the base).
